1. Eligibility

  • Must be a licensed physiotherapist.
  • Must be legally authorized to practice in their country.
  • Must hold recognized training or certification in Dry Needling (recognition subject to IDNB standards).
  • Must agree to comply with IDNB Code of Ethics, membership terms, refund policy, and privacy policy.

2. Rights of Members

  • Recognition as an IDNB member.
  • Access to IDNB resources, research, and publications.
  • Participation in IDNB events, webinars, and professional networking (event terms and conditions apply).
  • Listing in IDNB global member directory.

3. Responsibilities of Members

  • Maintain a valid professional license in their country of practice.
  • Practice Dry Needling in accordance with national laws and IDNB standards.
  • Adhere to professional ethics, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
  • Provide accurate information to IDNB and update changes immediately.
  • Renew membership annually to maintain active status.

4. Fees & Renewal

  • Membership is valid for 1 year.
  • Renewal requires payment of the annual membership fee (non-refundable) and continued compliance with eligibility criteria.
  • Failure to renew within 60 days of expiry results in automatic suspension.

5. Compliance & Disciplinary Action

  • Members must abide by the IDNB Code of Ethics.
  • Misconduct, malpractice, or misrepresentation may lead to warning, suspension, or termination.
  • Members may appeal disciplinary decisions within 30 days.

6. Rejection of Membership Application

The International Board of Dry Needling (IDNB) reserves the right to reject any application for membership under the following conditions:

6.1. Incomplete or Invalid Documentation
  • Failure to submit all required documents.
  • Submission of expired, invalid, or unverifiable documents.
6.2. Unrecognized Professional Background
  • Applicant does not hold a recognized health professional license
  • Applicant's profession is not legally authorized to perform Dry Needling in their country.
6.3. Lack of Dry Needling Competence
  • Failure to provide evidence of certified Dry Needling training (as per IDNB).
  • Evidence of unsafe or unethical Dry Needling practice history.
6.4. Breach of Ethical or Legal Standards
  • History of professional misconduct, malpractice, or disciplinary action by licensing authority.
  • Criminal convictions that may compromise professional integrity.
6.5. False or Misleading Information
  • Submission of fraudulent or forged documents.
  • Provision of misleading or inaccurate information in the application.
6.6. Non-Payment of Fees
  • Failure to pay required membership application fees or annual fees by the specified deadline.
6.7. Conflict with IDNB Standards
  • Applicant's practices, affiliations, or conduct conflict with IDNB's mission, values, or Code of Ethics.

Applicants whose membership is rejected will:

  • Receive written explanation of the reason(s).
  • Have the right to appeal and resubmit required information/documents within 15 days. If failed, application is closed.

7. Termination of Membership

Membership may be terminated due to:

  • Voluntary resignation (written notice).
  • Non-payment of fees.
  • Loss of professional license.
  • Breach of IDNB standards or ethical misconduct.
